On May 28-29, the 5th Eurasian Economic Forum (EEF 2026) was held in Astana at the Congress Center within the EXPO business complex. It was timed to coincide with the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, with the participation of the Heads of Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union and observer states.
The event took place as part of the Republic of Kazakhstan's chairmanship of the Eurasian Economic Union in 2026.
About 3,000 people from 44 countries took part in the Forum.
The architecture of the EEF 2026 included approximately 30 events, grouped into four thematic blocks: “Transformation of the EAEU Market Development,” “Eurasian Connectivity,” “EAEU+,” and “Events on the Sidelines of the Forum.”
Plenary Session
The key event of the 5th Eurasian Economic Forum was the plenary session "The EAEU in the Global Digital Race: Betting on Artificial Intelligence."
The keynote speakers of the event were the Heads of State of the Eurasian Economic Union: Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus; Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Sadyr Zhaparov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic; Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation; as well as Mher Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, and Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board.
The plenary session was attended by distinguished guests: Salvador Valdes Mesa, Vice President of the Republic of Cuba; Ho Quoc Dung, Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Nyamtaishiryn Nomtoibayar, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia; Mohammad Atabak, Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates.

Fifteen agreements, memoranda, cooperation programs, and treaties were signed.
