On December 24, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission amended the list of standards for the Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union "On requirements to fire safety and fire extinguishing equipment".

The lists are supplemented by 15 interstate standards establishing requirements to fire helmets, special clothing and footwear for firefighters, fire hoses and nozzles, aerial ladders
, foam trucks, and a number of other items of the Technical Regulation.

 

A transitional period – until July 1, 2026 - shall be established for the application of the replaced national standards.

The amendments shall come into effect after 30 calendar days have elapsed from the date of official publication of the EEC Board's decision.

The amendments were prepared by the Commission based on the Russian Federation proposals as part of the implementation of subparagraph “b” of p. 36 of the Procedure for developing and adopting lists of international and regional (interstate) standards.
