On May 5, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission's
Board Bakytzhan Sagintayev in Akorda.
The Head of State heard a report on the EEC’s current activities and prospects, with a focus on implementing the priorities of Kazakhstan’s presidency in the Eurasian Economic Union's governing bodies in 2026.
In particular, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was informed on completing the work on the Joint Statement on the Responsible Development of Artificial Intelligence within the EAEU. The document will define the main areas of cooperation between the countries of the Eurasian integration association to develop artificial intelligence technologies in the Member States' economic sectors.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was also informed about the preparations for the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council's meeting and the 5th Eurasian Economic Forum to be held on May 28–29 in Astana.
