The Eurasian Economic Commission's Board set the rate of import customs duty in relation to ground natural calcium phosphates, natural calcium aluminum phosphates and phosphate chalk (the EAEU CN FEA code 2510 20 000 0) at 0% of the customs value until February 29, 2028, inclusive.
The Decision shall come into effect after 30 calendar days have elapsed from the date of its official publication."Applying a zero rate of import customs duty will enable producers of mineral fertilizers to utilize their capacities whereas phosphate production in the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union is limited," mentioned Vahagn Ghazaryan, Director of the EEC Tariff and Non-Tariff Customs Regulation Department.
In accordance with the EEC Board's Decision No. 186 dated December 27, 2023, a temporary import customs duty rate set at 0% of the customs value had already been applied to the said goods from January 5, 2024 to January 4, 2026.
