The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission decided to set the rate of import customs duties for shea nuts, shorea nuts, sal tree nuts, Garcinia indica seeds (EAEU CN FEA code 1207 99 960 1) and Mangifera indica (mango) seeds and kernels (EAEU CN FEA code 1212 99 950 1) at 0% of the customs value until December 31, 2028, inclusive.

The products in question are generally used for manufacturing exotic oil stearines, which in turn are components of cocoa butter substitutes, some types of margarine and cosmetic products. "This measure is aimed at supporting the enterprises processing exotic raw materials for producing special-purpose fats, stearines, cocoa butter equivalents and substitutes used in the oil and fat, confectionery and cosmetic industries," mentioned Vahagn Ghazaryan, Director of the EEC Tariff and Non-Tariff Customs Regulation Department.
