The Eurasian Economic Commission's Board adopted a recommendation aimed at developing electronic document flow and applying digital technologies at sea checkpoints and ports of the Eurasian Economic Union countries.

The recommendation was adopted to implement the Concept for Developing the Electronic Document Flow at Sea Checkpoints and the corresponding action plan.

Based on the document, the Union states are recommended to monitor application of digital technologies annually together with the EEC and hold consultations with interested third countries and international organizations to create digital transport corridors.

The recommendation emphasizes the key role of digitalization in improving transit potential of the EAEU countries facilitating optimization of logistics processes and integration into global digital supply chains.
