EEC Board established transitional provisions on amendments to Union's technical regulation on fat and oil products
A 12-month transition period has been determined during which fat and oil products can be produced and put into circulation in the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union in accordance with the mandatory requirements set out in the Customs Union's Technical Regulation "Technical Regulation on Fat and Oil Products".
Such fat and oil products may be produced and put into circulation in the Union's customs territory. These products are permitted to circulate during their shelf life established by the manufacturer.
The amendments clarify certain provisions of the technical regulation, including those relating to the transportation of vegetable oils and the establishment of the permissible level of "glycidyl esters of fatty acids" in certain types of edible fat and oil products.
The amendments will come into effect on December 22, 2024.
