Maksim Yermalovich: "The EEC started its work on establishing a common exchange commodity market within the EAEU by 2030"

On October 15 at the Russian Energy Week international forum in Moscow, Maksim Yermalovich, Minister in charge of Competition and Antitrust Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, announced starting the work on establishing a common exchange commodity market within the Eurasian Economic Union by 2030.Maksim Yermalovich has shared that in the near future, as a first step, it is planned to create an Exchange Committee to be comprised of representatives of the EAEU Member States. It is planned to invite exchanges from Uzbekistan and Iran as observers.
The ultimate objective is the need to develop common EAEU principles and approaches to establishing price indicators for a wide range of exchange commodities.
"The discussion on including all kinds of fuel and energy commodities in the common exchange commodity market should be resumed," Maksim Yermalovich pointed out stressing that price indicators established for fuel and energy commodities will positively affect the development of national economies of all Member States.
