Maksim Yermalovich, Minister in charge of Competition and Antitrust Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Ruslan Suinaliev, Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, discussed in Bishkek the prospects for developing public procurement within the Eurasian Economic Union.
The two sides analyzed joint efforts to amend the Treaty on the EAEU and discussed some issues related to compliance with reporting deadlines and the public procurement digitization.
Speaking about the potential for interaction, Maksim Yermalovich thanked the Kyrgyz side for its active stand on public procurement digitalization. He noted Kyrgyzstan’s significant contribution to the Union’s digital agenda and further development of the EAEU legal framework, and emphasized the importance of further cooperation in this area.
