The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council defined general principles and approaches to establishing comparable regulation of liability for violation of mandatory product requirements and conformity assessment procedures in the Eurasian Economic Union countries' legislation.

This decision also specifies the responsible parties and the stages of the product life cycle to which such responsibility may be assigned.

At the same time, the issues of establishing liability measures are referred to the competence of the EAEU States and can be established by each Member State based on the principle of sufficient reason given the national legal system's peculiarities.

The SEEC instructed the Commission, together with the Union countries, to ensure the adoption of a set of measures aimed at suppressing the activities of mala fide economic entities.
