The Eurasian Economic Union’s agricultural output in all farm categories increased by 0.5% in January-October 2023 compared to the same period last year. An increase was observed in Russia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, while Kazakhstan showed a decrease.
The EAEU countries are finishing harvesting agricultural crops. According to the EEC, as of November 1, the amount of uncleaned grain harvested in the EAEU decreased by 9.8% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year; at the same time, 4.8% more potatoes and 1.4% more vegetables were harvested.
In January–October 2023, the EAEU output of main types of livestock products increased: livestock and poultry for slaughter (live weight) – by 2.3%, milk – by 2.9%, and eggs – by 1%.
