Border infrastructure development discussed at EEF

Ruslan Davydov, Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, spoke at the session “Modern Border Infrastructure: The Best Investment for the State” at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
The EEC Minister informed on the Commission's progress in developing uniform requirements to the arrangement of customs checkpoints with due regard to international experience and global best practices.
“It is important to develop the physical and digital infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Union's checkpoints to bring them up to the best international standards,” Ruslan Davydov stressed. “For example, the introduction of intelligent checkpoints developed in Russia will make it possible to solve the task set by the President of the Russian Federation to ensure border crossing within ten minutes”.
The session was attended by representatives of the Russian Transport Ministry, representatives of the Far East regions, and major logistics companies.
