Alexander Subbotin, Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, made a presentation “Key Issues in Ensuring the Quality and Availability of Medicines to be Addressed in 2026” as part of the conference “Regulatory Practice and Medicines Registration – RegLek-2026,” held on April 27-29 in Moscow.
The EEC Minister has mentioned that the common market of medicines reached a new level of integration development, based on the improved law of the Eurasian Economic Union.
“The accumulated law enforcement practice allows us to proceed to the next stage of regulation development, aimed at improving the efficiency of registration procedures and ensuring the sustainable functioning of the EAEU common market of medicines,” Alexander Subbotin emphasized.
The EEC Minister gave particular attention to the priority areas for developing the EAEU regulatory framework and reported on the efforts being made to improve the regulation of biological and innovative pharmaceuticals, to prepare Part IV of Volume 1 of the EAEU Pharmacopoeia, and on a number of other areas of the Commission's activities to unify the quality requirements to medicines.
Alexander Subbotin awarded the Eurasian Economic Commission’s badges “For Personal Contribution to Developing the Eurasian Integration” and the Commission’s Honorary Certificates to the EAEU countries’ experts who made a significant contribution to forming the Union’s law on regulating the medicines circulation.
The RegLek Conference is one of the main annual events in the pharmaceutical sector, where pharmaceutical market entities and regulators from the EAEU countries discuss relevant matters of medicines circulation.
