Russian Federation established equal conditions for EAEU countries citizens when purchasing CTP policy

By instruction of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the country has established equal conditions since January 9, 2022 for citizens of the Eurasian Economic Union States when purchasing a CTP policy.

Earlier, when calculating the policy cost, the experience of drivers who have no Russian local driver's license was not taken into account. This significantly increased the policy cost for other EAEU countries’ citizens. Along with that, according to the Union’s law, the Member States should not apply discriminatory requirements to recipients of insurance services.

The Eurasian Economic Commission conducted monitoring and held consultations with the sides’ authorized representatives in that respect as well as sent conclusions to the Governments of the Member States on the barrier signs in the EAEU internal market.
