Ruslan Davydov, Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, spoke at the session "The Role of the Far East in Ensuring Russia's Transport Sovereignty" and told about the progress in implementing projects aimed at developing and enhancing the transport potential of the Eurasian Economic Union countries.
Also, the EEC Minister shared that a portal-type inspection and screening facility was commissioned at the Vladivostok Sea Port, enabling to screen vehicles and containers with goods without drivers leaving the cab. According to him, such technologies should be the basis for smart checkpoints in all the Eurasian Five countries."Introducing the common transit system, using navigation seals, developing unified requirements to arrange and equip checkpoints, as well as shaping e-commerce regulation are key areas of the Eurasian Economic Commission's work on developing the EAEU transit potential," noted Ruslan Davydov.
The session was also attended by representatives of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, and business community.
