A meeting of the working group on customs declaration under the specialized Advisory Committee considered a number of initiatives of the Eurasian Economic Union States related to changes in the rules for filling in declarations for goods and a request for release of goods prior to submitting a declaration for goods. It proposed to waive the requirement for a declarant to handwrite or print an obligation to submit the original certificate of origin of goods to the customs authority on the reverse side of its copy, allowing instead to specify such information in a declaration for goods.
It also considered a number of relevant issues, including the expediency of defining the "primary packaging" concept and specifying the release annulment marks in a request for release of goods prior to submitting a declaration for goods.
