The EEC Board updated decisions on marking a number of goods

The Eurasian Economic Commission Board approved a package of amendments to the previously adopted decisions on introducing the marking of goods with identification means.
"The amendments are intended to ensure the mutual recognition of labeling codes, clarify the lists of goods in respect of which it can be introduced, and bring previously adopted decisions in accordance with the provisions of the Basic Model of the Marking System in the EAEU and Decision No. 41 of the Council of the Commission," Andrey Slepnev, Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, informed.
He clarified that it concerns the solutions for marking the footwear, light industry goods, tires, tires, perfumes, eau de toilette, cameras, and dairy products.

In particular, to ensure mutual recognition of marking codes, the digital identifier of the Union Member State which issued this code is included in the second group of marking code data.

In addition, as part of amending the lists of goods subject to marking, a decision was made:

  • not to apply marking requirements to perfumery products with a volume of up to 3 ml inclusive;

  • to exclude tires and new pneumatic rubber bicycle tires from the list of goods subject to marking;

  • to exclude ice cream and desserts not containing milk fat and/or milk protein from the list.
