01.08.2025
The Eurasian Economic Commission's Council adopted decisions to establish zero rates of import customs duty on sodium sulfides (code 2830 10 000 0 of the CN FEA of the EAEU) and cellulose ethers simple others (code 3912 39 850 0 of the CN FEA of the EAEU) for the period up to and including December 31, 2026.
“The decision on sodium sulfides is aimed at supporting enterprises of the metals and chemical industry of the Eurasian Economic Union countries,” the EEC Trade Unit noted. “In turn, cellulose ethers are mainly used as a key ingredient – water-binding agent and thickener in many types of products and industries: household cleaning products, lubricants, pharmaceutical compounds, construction materials, adhesives, paint and varnish products, oil and gas industry, etc."
The introduction of appropriate measures of customs tariff regulation will make it possible to reduce the cost of finished products and increase their competitiveness in internal and foreign markets.
The decisions shall come into effect after 30 calendar days have elapsed from the date of their official publication.
