EEC Council approbated subsidies for two new cooperation projects
05.12.2025
The Eurasian Economic Commission's Council approbated the provision of subsidies from the Eurasian Economic Union's budget to implement two novel projects under the industrial cooperation financing mechanism.
The financial support mechanism for EAEU producers provides for subsidizing interest rates on loans and credits issued by financial institutions for the implementation of joint projects from the Union budget. The Heads of EAEU States approbated unprecedented conditions for business, i.e. 100% compensation of the key rate of the Member State's central (national) bank.
One of the projects is being implemented by the Russian company Beshtau Electronics together with Nero Electronics LLC from Belarus and Kyrgyzelectronics LLC from Kyrgyzstan and is aimed at the production of system units for personal computers.
As part of the second project, the Russian Voyage NPO, in cooperation with partners from Armenian Metalstroy LLC and Rukhservomotor LLC from Belarus, will launch high-tech production of components for railway transport in the Russian Federation, including high-speed trains.
Both projects fully comply with the necessary criteria set forth in the Regulations on Selecting Cooperative Projects.
"The decision of the Commission's Council is very important for us," noted Gohar Barseghyan. "It is the cumulative result of our work to implement the new supranational financing instrument. Two more projects have been added to the three already approved this year. It is important that all Member States participate in the projects. I am confident that the implementation of the adopted initiatives will contribute to solving our main task, i.e. the formation of sustainable economic ties between our countries."

To date, the EEC has received 16 applications for subsidies: 13 from Russia, two from Kazakhstan, and one from Kyrgyzstan, with a total value of approximately 17 billion Russian rubles. Five projects received approval. Other applications are at various stages of review and consideration.
