On May 20, the Eurasian Economic Commission's Council adopted a decision establishing unified rules for the labeling of food products for athletes using identification techniques.

According to the document, the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union will independently determine the date of introduction and the procedure for labeling products on their territory, notifying the EEC not later than six months before the start of the relevant activities.

 

Labeling will be performed according to unified rules in strict compliance with the basic technological and organizational model for labeling goods with identification means in the EAEU as approved by Decision of the EEC Council in 2019. Thus, mutual recognition of codes will be ensured, which will eliminate the need to re-label goods when they are circulated within the Union.
