On May 29, the 31st meeting of the Council of Heads of Accreditation Bodies of Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union was held in Astana on the sidelines of the 5th Eurasian Economic Forum.

The issues of conducting mutual comparative assessments of accreditation bodies of the EAEU countries were considered. The Council members defined the final steps for the mutual comparative assessment of the Armenian accreditation body, which is planned to be completed this summer. Particular attention was paid to preparations for the mutual comparative assessment of the Belarusian accreditation body: the composition of the assessment team and its leader were agreed upon to allow the relevant work commencing at the end of this year.

 In view of the established practice, amendments to the procedure for the implementation of mutual comparative assessments by accreditation bodies of the Union states approved by the heads of government of the Eurasian five countries in 2022 were duly prepared and agreed upon.

The issues of participation of national accreditation bodies in interlaboratory comparative tests conducted in the countries of the integration association were discussed.

 Following the discussion, an agreement was reached to continue improving the algorithm for information exchange between accreditation bodies of the EAEU states.
