Council of Heads of EAEU Standardization Bodies considered systemic development issues

On May 29 in Astana, as part of the business program of the 5th Eurasian Economic Forum, Alexander Subbotin, Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, took part in the meeting of the Council of Heads of State (National) Standardization Bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union.


The key topic of discussion was the systemic development of standardization in the EAEU and the provision of the Union's technical regulations with a comprehensive evidence base for modern interstate standards.

 

The participants exchanged of opinions to develop coordinated problem-solving approaches related to the application of standards in the implementation of technical regulations, as well as to the development of supporting interstate standards.

The event was attended by representatives of national standardization bodies and institutes from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia.

The Council of Heads of State (National) Standardization Bodies of the EAEU Member States was established by Decision of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council as an auxiliary body of the Union for the development of standardization in the field of technical regulation.
