On March 19, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved the modernized structure of the certificate for securing the obligation to pay customs duties and taxes.

The new structure can be used to generate either one-time or master certificates, to make changes (additions) to a certificate and to terminate (redeem) a certificate.

The draft decision provides for a delayed effective date (April 1, 2025) due to the need to refine the information systems of customs authorities, as well as the introduction of the relevant common process within the Eurasian Economic Union.

The adopted act is the result of consistent work by the Customs Unit of the Commission on improving digital information processing during customs operations.
