Further cooperation in the Eurasian space was discussed at the International Conference on Hydrogen Energy held in Moscow involving representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission. In particular, this entailed addressing the industry's priority objectives in technology development, popularization of hydrogen application safety in industry sectors, certification issues and skill formation.

At the session “International Cooperation and Scientific and Technological Cooperation”, Galina Martinkevich, Deputy Head of the EEC Industrial Policy Department's Section, informed on promising areas of industrial interaction between the Eurasian Economic Union countries in the field of hydrogen energy and a new mechanism of financial support for the EAEU integration projects. She invited the EAEU countries' interested enterprises to consider its application in implementing joint projects.

“The exchange of experience following the successful implementation of pilot projects, scientific and technical cooperation in the field of innovative solutions and the use of a new mechanism of financial support for cooperative projects will contribute to developing import-substituting technologies, and cooperation in the Union's hydrogen energy sector,” the EEC representative emphasized.

The conference presented pilot projects and new developments in the field of hydrogen production, transportation, storage and hydrogen vehicle. The importance of dialogue between public authorities, businesses and science in implementing pilot projects in the field of hydrogen energy was noted, problematic industry issues were discussed and prospects for interaction within the Union were defined.

Hydrogen Technology Center of the Astana International Scientific Complex presented the main directions of improving hydrogen energy in Kazakhstan in accordance with the Industry Development Concept until 2030.
