The current state and prospects of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) operation for civil purposes, and safety in the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) were discussed by the participants of the round table “Unmanned Aircraft Systems in Civil Aviation: Prospects, Challenges and Regulation”.
The event chaired by Arzybek Kozhoshev, the EEC Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure, was held on July 10-11 at the Eurasian Economic Commission's headquarters.
“Amid global digitalization and demand for efficient logistics solutions, unmanned technologies offer new opportunities to improve safety, reduce costs and expand transport functionality,” Arzybek Kozhoshev noted.
The event also included an exchange of experience and international practice on regulating UAS activities in present-day realities.
The representatives of international civil aviation organizations: the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) presented current topics and issues of international regulation.
