HSE and YarSU students learned about EEC activities on developing Eurasian integration
As part of the program to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Eurasian Economic Commission and to popularize the Eurasian integration among the youth, an excursion was held at the EEC's headquarters for students from the National Research University Higher School of Economics (Moscow) and the P.G. Demidov Yaroslavl State University ( Yaroslavl).
Daniyar Turusbekov, Director of the EEC Organizational Support and Protocol Department, reported on the Eurasian Economic Commission's activities as a supranational governing body of the Eurasian Economic Union. He informed on the EAEU governing bodies, the document adoption procedure, the Department’s activities, as well as the Commission’s key focus areas. In the hall of the EEC Board, students reviewed the Commission’s software "Electronic Board".
Besides, the students had a meeting with representatives of the EEC Economy and Financial Policy Unit.
Bembya Khulkhachiev, Deputy Director of the EEC Financial Policy Department, told the students about the Commission's activities for improving and harmonizing the Member States' legislation in the insurance market and the securities market to create conditions for extending mutual trade in financial services and forming a common financial market within the Union.
Lusine Tumyan, Deputy Director of the EEC Business Development Department, presented the Commission's work on creating a common market of services which contributes to increasing the competitiveness of goods, works and services in the EAEU market.
