Technical regulation within EAEU becomes digital

Alexander Subbotin, Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, held a meeting of the working group coordinating the "Digital Technical Regulation within the Eurasian Economic Union" project at the EEC headquarters.

Representatives of the EAEU authorized bodies and the Commission reviewed the progress of the project, including the deadlines for completing its individual milestones.

"I call on everyone involved in the project to take the necessary measures to ensure its launch this year," Alexander Subbotin addressed the meeting participants.

The working group highly appreciated the discussion on this topic, which took place at a specialized session within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Forum in Astana. The key issues and areas of work in this area raised at the EEF were also the main ones at the WG meeting.

The digital technical regulation project aims to digitalize the process of developing product safety requirements, as well as provide a wide range of users with full and convenient access to such requirements and procedures for assessing their implementation.

The coordination group provides general management of the project development, monitors its implementation, considers problematic issues and disagreements, organizes acceptance tests of the project, and carries out other functions related to the coordination of project in accordance with the Order of the Board of the Commission No. 196 dated November 23, 2021.
