The Interim Trade Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union, its Member States, and Mongolia came into effect on July 22, 2026.

During customs declaring procedures, a new code “ME” is provided to indicate tariff preferences for goods originating in Mongolia or the Eurasian Economic Union Member State and imported into the Eurasian Economic Union’s customs territory under the Agreement, and the code “06022” is used to indicate information about the EAM Certificate of Origin.

The relevant decision was adopted by the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board on July 21, 2026.

Please note that this Decision shall come into effect after 30 calendar days have elapsed from the date of its official publication. Until then, the code “TI” (other customs duty exemptions not listed in Subsection 1.1) and the code “06999” (other documents related to the origin of goods) should be used when declaring goods for customs purposes.

The introduction of new codes simplifies the accounting of foreign trade transactions and helps reduce financial costs in foreign economic activities.

It bears reminding that the Interim Trade Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and its Member States, and Mongolia was signed on June 27, 2025, in Minsk.
