On March 17, the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Board amended the list of products in respect of which the filing of a customs declaration should be accompanied by a conformity assessment document (or information regarding such a document) in accordance with the Eurasian Economic Union’s Technical Regulation “On Requirements to Fire Safety and Fire Extinguishing Equipment.”
The HS codes for general-purpose fire extinguishing powders have been brought in line with the amendments made to the EAEU commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activities. Furthermore, an editorial correction has been made to the HS code for uninterruptible power supplies for technical equipment used in automatic fire fighting systems.
The title of the product list has also been brought in line with subparagraph “a” of paragraph 2 of the Procedure for the importation into the EAEU customs territory of products subject to mandatory conformity assessment within the Union’s customs territory, approved by Decision No. 130 of the EEC Council dated November 12, 2021.
