The Eurasian Economic Commission's Council adopted the recommendation "On the Long-Term Strategic Framework Program for Science and Technology Development of the Eurasian Economic Union".

The Program was prepared as part of implementing the Strategic Directions for Developing the Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025 and is aimed at building competitive research potential through combining efforts of the EAEU Member States in developing joint innovative projects, as well as improving the technology level of the Union economies.

The Program defines areas of mutual interest, the procedure for the Member States to exchange experience and interact in the field of science and technology development, criteria for arranging joint research and innovation projects, as well as takes into account the areas and priorities of cooperation pursued by the Member States.
