EAEU to assess impact of existing exceptions on internal market functioning

The Eurasian Economic Commission announces an open tender for the right to conclude a contract for research activities on the subject "Assessing the impact of existing exceptions on functioning of the Eurasian Economic Union’s internal market".

The work objective is to determine general economic and sectoral effects of existing exceptions and their cancellation in the Union’s internal market as well as to formulate proposals for developing integration processes in this field.

"The issues of removing obstacles to implementing the principle of four freedoms are one of the key priorities of the Eurasian Economic Commission’s agenda. In order to reduce exceptions in the Union’s internal market to the greatest possible extent, the EAEU countries should carry out this work in a consistent manner. For its part, the Commission is ready to provide maximum assistance in solving these issues," noted Gegham Vardanyan, EEC Minister in charge of Internal Markets, Information and ICT.

Following the research activities, it is planned to develop a methodology for assessing the economic effect of existing exceptions and their cancellation in the Union’s internal market as well as to identify exceptions, the elimination of which will have the most positive economic impact on the Union’s internal market.

We invite all interested persons to take part in the tender. Information about the contractor’s requirements has been posted on the Eurasian Economic Commission’s official website in the "Tenders" section (Notice No. 944).

Open tender applications are accepted until October 8, 2021 and the results will be announced on October 20.
