EAEU identified industries with greatest cooperation and export potential

On April 8, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved the report "On the Results of Analyzing Promising Markets and Industries for Joint Exports of Non-Resource, Including High-Tech, Products of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States".

The report identifies the industries, including high-tech ones, that have the greatest cooperation and export potential. In particular, these are the chemical, metallurgical, pharmaceutical, electro-optical, automotive and aircraft industries.

The recommendations set out in the document are aimed at ensuring the growth of priority industries, the promotion of innovation activity, the joint development of knowledge-intensive industries, as well as exploring new types of competitive export-oriented products.

"The Union countries have significant scientific and industrial potential for the development of key industries," emphasized Goar Barseghyan, EEC Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture. "At the same time, import substitution in high-tech industries, such as machine building, electronics and chemicals, remains a priority in the cooperation between the Member States."
