EAEU developing mechanism for interaction between state control bodies, accreditation bodies and customs authorities

On August 8, a high-level meeting chaired by Valentin Tataritsky, the EEC Minister in charge of Technical Regulation, and attended by Ruslan Davydov, the EEC Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation, discussed the mechanism of interaction between state control bodies, accreditation bodies and customs authorities of the Eurasian Economic Union countries at the Eurasian Economic Commission's headquarters.


The event took place as part of reviewing the Procedure for interaction between national bodies of state control over compliance with the requirements of the Union's technical regulations, as well as accreditation bodies, which is being developed by the Commission jointly with the Member States.

The meeting also considered decision-making with respect to documents on conformity assessment issued (adopted) in violation of mandatory requirements or established procedures for conformity assessment of products.

 

The development of the Procedure for interaction is contemplated by the Strategic Directions for Developing the Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025, as well as the Agreement on Principles and Approaches of State Control (Supervision) over Compliance with the Requirements of EAEU Technical Regulations in Order to Harmonize the Member States' Legislation in This Area dated February 16, 2021.
