Valentin Tataritsky held a meeting with Belarusian State Standard Chair Elena Morgunova

The EEC hosted a working meeting between Valentin Tataritsky, Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Elena Morgunova, Chair of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus.

The parties discussed the development of procedures for creating and maintaining unified registers of study (test) and measurement protocols issued during the assessment of product conformity to the requirements of technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union, and a unified register of persons authorized by manufacturers, envisaged by the Protocol on Amending the Treaty on the EAEU.

The meeting considered problematic issues in developing "second level" documents necessary for the implementation of international treaties of the Union in the field of product compliance supervision, as well as delivering on a number of items of the Action Plan for implementing the Strategy-2025.

Special attention was paid to adjusting the requirements of the technical regulation "On the Safety of Wheeled Vehicles" (TR CU 018/2011) and ensuring the functioning of electronic vehicle certificate systems.

The meeting also discussed the implementation of the Plan for developing and amending technical regulations of the Union, approved by the Commission's Council in April 2021. Among other things, the progress and stage of preparing draft amendments to the technical regulations developed by the State Standard of Belarus were considered.

Valentin Tataritsky plans to hold similar meetings with heads of authorized authorities in the field of technical regulation of other EAEU countries. This will facilitate finding mutually acceptable solutions to issues sensitive to the Union States.

The negotiations were attended by Talgat Momyshev, Director of the EEC Technical Regulation and Accreditation Department, Natalia Zhukova, Director of the EEC Department of Sanitary, Phytosanitary and Veterinary Measures, as well as Deputy Directors of the EEC Technical Regulation and Accreditation Department Lily Maksudyan, Tatiana Nikolaeva and Maxim Kim.
