At its meeting held on July 14, the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Board amended the Procedure for filling out passenger customs declarations for express cargo.
The amendments envisage that information on IMEI codes for mobile phones and tablets with mobile communication capabilities must be included in the customs declaration. For now, these rules will apply only to the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic. This is due to national rules for registering and verifying these devices when they are imported into the EAEU customs territory.
Decision No. 158 of the EEC Board dated October 16, 2018 approved the form and procedure for filling in the passenger customs declaration for express cargo, which is used in the customs declaration of goods for personal use transported by express carriers.
