The Eurasian Economic Union Member States have signed a Protocol amending the Agreement on Common Principles and Rules for the Circulation of Medicinal Products (Medical Devices and Equipment) within the EAEU in terms of changes and additions to the list of medicinal products not subject to registration in the Union.
The amendments apply to several categories of medical products. These include custom-made products manufactured exclusively for a patient's personal use; products imported for the provision of medical care based on life-saving indications for a specific patient; and products manufactured in the EAEU countries for export to third countries. The amendments also apply to kits, sets, and first aid kits assembled from registered medicinal products and medicines and intended for use within the territory of a particular State.
The Protocol shall be applied provisionally since February 19, 2026, and shall come into effect on the date the Commission receives the last written notification from the Member States on completing the internal legal procedures required for its enactment.
