Issues of EAEU functioning discussed at Kazakhstan Growth Forum

At the Kazakhstan Growth Forum held in Almaty on September 22, Bakytzhan Sagintaev, EEC Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy, spoke about the Eurasian Economic Union functioning in the current economic environment, measures taken to ensure the internal market's smooth functioning and create comfortable conditions for business in the EAEU countries.

In particular, Bakytzhan Sagintaev informed about the high-level working group's activities to create conditions for increasing economic stability, including ensuring macroeconomic stability in such areas as customs and tariff regulation, the EAEU internal market and cooperation, and mutual settlements.

The Forum participants exchanged views on the possibilities of Eurasian integration in favor of business.

“The potential of Eurasian integration is aimed at increasing the national economies' competitiveness and investment attractiveness as well as achieving synergistic integration effects within the Union,” the EEC Minister noted.

Kazakhstan Growth Forum is a key event for Kazakhstan business. The Forum was organized in 2010 by the Centras group of companies as a platform for professional dialogue within the private sector of the economy. The main topics of the Forum this year included challenges for Kazakhstan, a new economic course, and competencies for modern business.
