The event was attended by government officials of the Russian Federation, business representatives, lead experts in the above field.
At the conference Zhanar Adikova presented the matters of ensuring national treatment within the Eurasian Economic Union and told about the work being done to provide access to mutual procurement including through identifying the country of origin of EAEU industrial goods.
"The Commission urges to increase the share of competitive procurement methods in the EAEU, which at the moment is 54%," Zhanar Adikova noted in her statement.
She indicated problematic aspects that the Eurasian Economic Commission faces when ensuring national treatment in public procurement for medicines and medical devices in the Union countries.
"Medicine manufacturers are little familiar with the operations of the system for Eurasian confirmation of origin to take part in the EAEU public procurement. Overall, the negotiations progress, while in terms of the requirement to confirm the full production cycle negotiations and decisions taken at meetings of the EAEU bodies are yet to come," Zhanar Adikova told.
During her report on the subject Zhanar Adikova shared conclusions on changing approaches to localizing production and confirming the country of origin of pharmaceutical products. Also, the speaker told about the negotiation stage and the work being done by the Commission to create the EAEU law for public procurement in the medical sector.
