Bakhtiyar Berikovich Asautaev was born on February 9, 1987. In 2010, he graduated from E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University and Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.

He started his working career in 2008. He held various positions in the Economy and Budget Planning Department of the Karaganda Region.

From 2012 to 2019 he worked his way from a Head of the Department for the Formation of the Common Economic Space and Deputy Director of the Department of International Economic Integration of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2019-2020, he served as Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Integration of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Since January 11, 2021, he had been appointed Deputy Director of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Integration Development Department.

Since September 1, 2025, he has been appointed Deputy Director of the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Department for Internal Markets Functioning.
