Biography

Vladimir Mikhailovich Serpikov was born on May 19, 1966.

He graduated with honors from the Faculty of Interpreting and Translation of the Minsk State Linguistic University in 1990 and the Law Faculty of the Belarusian State University in 1996.

From 1990 through 1995, Vladimir Serpikov held various positions at the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic of Belarus.

From 1995 through 1998, he worked at the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in New York and the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the United States of America (Washington).

1998 — 2001 — Deputy Head of the Pan-European Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

2001 — 2005 — Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Kingdom of Belgium/Mission of the Republic of Belarus to the European Union.

2006 through 2010 — Head of the Pan-European Cooperation Department — Deputy Head of the General Directorate for Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

2010 through 2016 — Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Slovak Republic.

2016 — 2022 — Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Head of the Negotiating Delegation for the Accession of the Republic of Belarus to the World Trade Organization.

On May 19, 2022, Vladimir Serpikov was appointed Director of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Trade Policy Department.
