EEC with support of Eurasian Network University published textbook on Eurasian integration for universities

Sergei Glazyev, Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Gulnara Kurenkeeva, Rector of the Almaty Management University (AlmaU), discussed cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union countries in the scientific and educational sphere and the improvement of the Eurasian Network University. The meeting took place on February 3 in Almaty.

The Almaty Management University is a member of the Eurasian Network University established last year. Today the ENU includes 19 universities across all the EAEU countries.

As Sergei Glazyev emphasized, the logic of integration processes pushes for the need to develop cooperation between the EAEU countries in the academic sphere.

"Human capital is a strategic resource, and it is impossible to enter the trajectory of sustainable growth without its development", the EEC Minister noted. "In this regard, it is important to intensify interaction between the Eurasian Network University participants in the field of professional training for the EAEU common labor market".

Besides, Sergei Glazyev emphasized the significant role of the Almaty Management University in this process as a university with high experience in business education in the CIS space.

The EEC Minister got acquainted with the Almaty Management University and its scientific and methodological framework. The University’s representatives presented the curriculum for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students, as well as professional retraining programs developed for specialists, entrepreneurs and managers.

In turn, Sergei Glazyev handed over to the University's library fund the textbook "Eurasian Economic Integration: Theory and Practice" elaborated by the Eurasian Economic Commission with the scientific support of Universities-Participants of the Eurasian Network University.

“We hope that the textbook will contribute to developing interaction between the Union countries in the field of education”, the EEC Minister said.
