EEC and Armenian Customs Service Discussed Cooperation Issues

Ruslan Davydov, Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, met with Rustam Badasyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, on the sidelines of the 3rd Eurasian Economic Forum.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current level of interaction and promising Eurasian projects. The matters in question were regulation of electronic commerce, the use of navigation seals, development of a unified customs transit system, and the introduction of a common standard of customs administration in the EAEU.

The parties emphasized the importance of ensuring information exchange between the customs authorities of the EAEU and the EEC.

Ruslan Davydov noted the significant contribution of the Armenian Customs Service to the development of the national single window system, thanks to which today more than 200,000 permits are issued electronically in Armenia per year. This can be unequivocally recognized as one of the best practices in the EAEU, which should be extended to the entire customs territory of the Union.
