Customs regulation issues were discussed in Astana at the meeting of Eldar Alisherov, Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, with Erzhan Birzhanov, Vice-Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Zhanel Kushukova, Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan; and Zhandos Duysembiev, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The meeting covered the areas of work carried out by the Commission and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union in accordance with the instruction of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council to ensure unified approaches to risk management regarding control of the customs value of goods, as well as applying response measures to ensure proper control.
The meeting also discussed relevant matters in the field of customs cooperation, including prospects for the development of electronic commerce in foreign economic activity and amendments to the EAEU Customs Code.
The parties expressed their willingness to continue cooperation.
