Participants of Youth Forum Eurasia Global created projects to develop youth cooperation in EAEU

Representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission – Ilya Kuzmichev and Elnura Abdurashitova, employees of the Organizational Support and Protocol Department of the Commission – took part in the events of the International Youth Forum Eurasia Global in Orenburg. This is the third time the Commission is represented among the partners of the Forum's business program.

Participants of the "global conversation" on the topic Our Common Affairs: Public Diplomacy and International Projects in the Interests of a Just World discussed what should be done for efficient cooperation between youth and authorities, businesses and public organizations in the Eurasian space. More than 300 people from the Union States and third countries took part in the discussion.

Ignat Petukhov, Vice-Governor of the Orenburg Region, Valeria Chernogorodova, Head of the International Activities Department of the Youth Projects and Programs Department of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Irina Sarkisyan, Project Manager of the ANO "Rosatom Corporate Academy", Oleg Sulitsa, Acting Rector of the Ryazan State University named after S.A. Esenin, Maria Isabel Cevallos, host and reporter for RT Spanish, were among the session speakers. During the "global conversation", I. Kuzmichev spoke on the prospects for international youth cooperation and developing the youth agenda in the Union. He also touched upon the opportunities that the EAEU gives to a young person.

Representatives of the Commission also held a briefing as part of the Youth International Media School organized by A.M. Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund. Young journalists from the Member States trained their skills in preparing press releases and social media posts on topical issues of Eurasian economic integration. About 50 young journalists from the Union States took part in the event.

In addition, representatives of the Commission held a brainstorming session on the prospects for forming the Union's youth agenda. Representatives of the RANEPA under the President of the Russian Federation: Valery Smirnov, Deputy Director of the Institute of Law and National Security, and Sergei Rekeda, Associate Professor of the Basic Department of Eurasian Economic Integration, were among the brainstorming experts. More than 50 young experts and students representing the Union States and third countries took part in the brainstorming session.

Participants of the brainstorming identified the key trends that determine the involvement of the main groups of young people in the integration processes – students and young scientists; young entrepreneurs; creative youth; young IT specialists; young diplomats and leaders of youth organizations. As a result of their work, five youth projects were developed.

The young experts demonstrated their knowledge of the Eurasian economic integration processes and the Union's activities. They also spoke in favor of expanding interaction with the Commission. In particular, the EEC platform participants supported the initiative of Sadyr Japarov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, to establish and annual hold the EAEU Youth Forum, which is currently being developed by the Commission.
