RUE "Production Association "Belorusneft" in the Republic of Belarus has created and successfully operates the largest network of MALANKA charging stations in the CIS, which includes more than 646 charging stations, including those with a capacity of 175 kW, installed on the main transport routes and ensuring free movement of electric vehicles throughout the country. Besides, the company has implemented a pilot project for the construction of a super-fast charging complex in Minsk, including places for super-fast charging (350 kW) of electric vehicles of all types, a charging post for electric buses, an energy storage system, a dynamic power distribution module and an autonomous retail store. Owing to the high power of the complex, the charging speed makes it possible to charge the battery of electric vehicles with 300 kilometers of driving range in 9 minutes.
Along with that, the installation of charging infrastructure is based on a thorough analysis of the locations of charging stations and complexes. For example, the choice of locations for charging stations (complexes) is made using GIS modelling mechanisms that take into account the existing transport, charging and socio-cultural infrastructure, changes in traffic flow by season, weekends and holidays, the distance to the nearest existing charging infrastructure, available places of attraction and the average time of a user's stay at a facility. Moreover, it determines the optimal configuration of the equipment, forecast of investments and cash receipts from charging services with due regard to the adopted principles of tariff formation, forecast of the payback period of the charging infrastructure taking into account the possibility of integrating additional facilities (EPSS, autonomous store) into the complexes, etc.
Sector:  Public security
Country:  Republic of Belarus
Project developer :  RUE State Production Association Belorusneft
Implementation results :  At present, Malanka charging network consists of 1 superfast charging complex and 646 charging stations, including: - 134 Mode 3 charging stations (up to 50 kW); - 512 Mode 4 charging stations (from 50 kW (inclusive) to 175 kW). In order to ensure unified and affordable charging of all types of electric vehicles, the charging stations of the Malanka network are equipped with CHAdeMO, CCS and GB/T connectors. Availability of charging stations by regions is as follows: Total electro-charging stations – 646 stations, incl: Minsk – 394 stations, Minsk Region – 34 stations, Brest – 26 stations, Brest Region – 17 stations, Vitebsk – 32 stations, Vitebsk Region – 15 stations, Gomel – 28 stations, Gomel Region – 17 stations, Grodno – 43 stations, Grodno Region – 15 stations, Mogilev Region – 16 stations, and Mogilev Region – 9 stations. Given the actual and projected parameters for the growth of electric vehicles in the Republic of Belarus, the provision of electric vehicle charging services will make it possible to save more than 250,000 tons of CO2 by 2025 and 1.5 mln tons of CO2 by 2030
