Naira Karapetyan

Biography

Naira Karapetyan was born in 1967 in Yerevan (the Republic of Armenia).

She graduated from the Faculty of Technical Cybernetics of Yerevan Polytechnic Institute.

She started her career in 1995 at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Armenia.

From 2007 to 2017, she was Chief Specialist, Head of the Foreign Trade and Competitive Environment Regulation Section of the Department of Trade and Market Regulation of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.

From 2017 to 2022, she served as Director of the Department of the Eurasian Economic Union and Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.

From 2022 to 2024, she was Head of the Secretariat, Assistant to the Member of the Board – EEC Minister in charge of Internal Markets, Information Support, Information and Communication Technologies.

On October 24, 2024, she was appointed Director of the EEC Agricultural Policy Department.

She was awarded the medal "For Contribution to Development of the Eurasian Economic Union” (2019). She was honored with the EEC Commendation “For Active Participation in Developing the Eurasian Economic Integration and Assistance in the Eurasian Economic Commission's Activities” (2021).
