From 27 November to 2 December 2012, the delegation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), headed by Member of the Board (Minister) for Competition and Antitrust Regulation Nurlan Aldabergenov, visited China to study international experience in the field of competition policy and establish cooperation with foreign competition authorities.
From 27 November to 2 December 2012, the delegation of
the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), headed by Member of the Board
(Minister) for Competition and Antitrust Regulation Nurlan Aldabergenov,
visited China to study international experience in the field of competition
policy and establish cooperation with foreign competition authorities.
The visit included meetings with the administration of
the Bureau of Price Supervision and Anti-Monopoly of the National Development
and Reform Commission in Beijing and also with
the administration of its territorial office in Nanjing.
Nurlan Aldabergenov stressed the importance of regular
exchange with experience and best practices in the field of antitrust
regulation, as well as mechanisms for combating violations of competition laws,
taking into consideration the long border with China
and a great volume of trade between China and the three member-states
of the Common Economic Space (CES).
In addition, during the visit the parties discussed
further cooperation in important areas such as improvement of competition laws,
joint investigations into violations of competition laws committed in the
transboundary markets, joint consultations, technical seminars, and on-site
training in the field of competition regulation.
