The Eurasian Economic Commission hosted a meeting between Andrey Slepnev, the EEC Minister in charge of Trade, and Nenad Popovic, Minister of the Government of the Republic of Serbia in charge of developing relations with the Eurasian Economic Union, where the two sides discussed plans for implementing the Free Trade Area Agreement between the EAEU and Serbia.

Andrey Slepnev about his appointment as co-chairman of the Joint Committee (the
working body for implementing the Agreement) from the Serbian side. The EEC
Minister in charge of Trade chairs this committee on behalf of the Eurasian
Economic Union and its Member States. The interlocutors considered possible
holding of the committee first meeting later this year or early next year.
