On February 17, the Eurasian Economic Commission headquarters hosted a meeting of Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure, and Dmitry Zverev, State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation.
They discussed various matters of delivering on the road map for implementing the Main Directions and Implementation Stages of the Coordinated (Agreed) Transport Policy of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States for 2021-2023. In particular, the parties considered the issues of developing Eurasian transport corridors and harmonizing civil aviation legislation of the Union countries.
Arzybek Kozhoshev emphasized the importance of enhancing the role of the Council of heads of authorized transport authorities of the Eurasian Economic Union in the matters of delivering on and implementing the 2021-2023 road map.
On his part, Dmitry Zverev, given Russia's 2023 chairmanship in the Council of heads, declared readiness for contributing to advances of the Main Directions and Implementation Stages of the Coordinated (Agreed) Transport Policy of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States.
Following the meeting the parties expressed their readiness for further cooperation and systematic dialog.
