Nowadays, technological innovations are a core driver in maintaining the competitiveness of metallurgical products both in internal and foreign markets.
"Modern trends in the manufacturing industry and speedy progress of new industries necessitate to develop new materials with unique properties and to introduce technical engineering solutions for using these materials in specific manufacturing sectors, in particular in the automotive industry, agricultural machine building, railway engineering and pipe industry", said Artak Kamalyan, EEC Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture.According to Artak Kamalyan, the prepared document contains information about potential manufacturers and consumers of new types of metallurgical products as well as its technical characteristics and is aimed at creating conditions for transiting the EAEU countries’ primary industries to a new technological level by joint promotion of innovative development.
The recommendation contains a list of 8 promising areas of cooperation in manufacturing new types of metallurgical products, including the development of metals with new technical characteristics for agricultural machine building, automotive and railway transport, food and pipe industry, special-purpose parts (bearings) as well as the manufacture of alloys with increased corrosion resistance.
Participants interested in joint projects include leading scientific institutes of the EAEU countries, the largest manufacturing enterprises in the automotive industry, machine tool industry, railway and construction industries, manufacturers of agricultural, road and construction, quarry and mining equipment of the Union States.
